Tom's journalism experience in television news encompassed 15 years as a foreign correspondent in Canada, England, and throughout the mid-east for Fox News and for CNN. While at CNN, Tom was the first television correspondent to cover a criminal trial live.
He was selected for a Presidential Friendship Force initiative in Berlin, Germany, and has served as a State Department consultant for international journalists. He has also been recognized by the American Bar Association and the US National Guard for public service achievement.
Tom is an Emmy award winning journalist who has also received 18 Aegis and Telly Awards for excellence in corporate communications.
Tom has successfully prepared a myriad of government agency executives for media interactions, including the Smithsonian Institution, the US Navy, National Institutes of Health and the American Red Cross. He is a graduate of The American University in Washington DC where he earned his Master of Arts in Communication, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Tom lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife Blanca and his son William. |
